A very moving story! First in how important friendship is amongst these boys. I believe that Remus' lycanthropy and their desire to both share a secret and to help him was what cemented their relationship. But once upon a time, that sense of camaraderie and solidity must have extended to all. I like the dynamic here with Peter being the peacemaker between his more volatile friends. And a James who knows these boys so well that he can suss out their issues.
Sirius' confusion and self loathing felt real as did James' compassion. And finally,Remus' plea. &hearts
Thanks for your wonderful comment! More than even a relationship to me, I like to emphasize the relationship between best mates, and I'm glad you caught on to that! I really imagine the Marauders to be the ultimate IT boys on the outside, working flawlessly together, despite their inner flaws!
Thanks again for the review! *hugs*
Aw, lovely story. I liked how supportive all three of Remus's friends were, in their own ways.
Thank you! Marauders always stick together!
what a wonderful, well-written story! i loved the blind aspect because it fit the prompt and gave a nice, fresh take on canon. sirius was very sympathetic here even when he was being an ass. an remus was sweet, hot, and delightful.
Thanks for the review! Remus/Sirius is so hard to write for me sometimes, because I idolize them so much, but I know they're not perfect. Thanks for loving them with me!
I must admit that I barely felt I was reading canon; and I mean that in a very good way. This felt so utterly original, despite being perfectly canon compliant, that I was not even aware of which team it was. What I am trying to say was that it was a very sweet, sexy, original story that really elevated itself above what we think of as canon.
I hope you were not insulted by this comment, mystery author, because I really meant it to be complimentary.
Haha, thanks! I won't be insulted. *g*
James was great here, love how he saw behind Sirius' posturing. Remus must have hated being more reliant on his friends and his embarassment is really sweet.
I LOVE the James/Sirius bromance almost as much as I love Remus/Sirius, so your compliment means a lot! Thank you! *squeee*
I really loved this, loved how they made it work in the end. James was wonderful in this, too. Lovely job!
Thanks so much, James really is one of my favs <3
This was so fabulously fresh, and well thought out! I was sad to see it was over all at once, because I wanted to keep reading, lol. But amazing. I adored Peter as well! Taking the insult in stride and cutting back to the matter at hand. Wonderfully done.
Peter. Gah. He's really a thorn in my side sometimes, because I hate him, I do, but I know he couldn't have been that bad as a student. After all the Marauders were the most popular boys in school. They put up with Peter because they liked him, not because they had to.
Thanks for your review!
