Magnificent! Every word and the pain they convey is letter perfect. This will be my 1981 canon forever more.
Thank you - so glad you enjoyed! And thank you, also, for reccing my fic :)
Oh, I like this very much. Writing Sirius and Remus as their relationship crumbles isn't easy and this is a nice account of that. :D
Oh, now I feel like crying. Or maybe I AM crying. Still, this was incredibly beautiful. It was very lush and poetic that it just reeked of foreboding and hearbreak. I would love to know how to quote stuff back to you with italics, but I was struck my Sirius' thoughts as Padfoot and how he knew it was the end. This was so wonderfully Sirius-centric, and yet I felt for Remus, too. This was really stupendous!
Heartbreaking. Really nicely done.
why live? and i mean that in a good way. you're a very impressive writer and you managed to sell me on a genre i often dislike. but somehow, here angst became beautiful!
Amazing. Amazing and heart-breaking and I am oh so glad I found this link because it is beautiful. Screw my class readings, I can get by without them.
As someone mentioned before, even though this is Sirius-centric, you really can feel for Remus at the same time. His silence, his fear, his worry and his miserable acceptance. I kept wishing it would go on longer, than Peter would make his move, if only to prove to Sirius that no, he had it all wrong, that his Moony had never betrayed him, not really, no more than he had him. But alas, even that would not have been a happy ending. Because it takes over a decade for the two to reconcile, doesn't it? Almost a decade too late.
Beautiful work, really. Excellent job. <3
