I thoroughly enjoyed this!
I am completely in love with this story. Charming and fun with a darling ending. Just perfect!
this was fantastic! you have no idea how much love i have for this. not only was it a great adventure story, but the details were really amazing. your description of love magic and remus and sirius’s joining ceremony were very cool. the little story about the dinner with the dursleys was, too.
john and his family were great, too. his reaction to petunia, his daughters playing with padfoot, the very fact he took the dog in? wonderful. i felt so sorry for him when i learned what happened to his family, but he was wonderful all the same. sirius was right, muggles who believe in magic are good people. he was so brave, too, and kind. i love the thought of him and his girls minding baby harry and of him embracing sirius and remus’s relationship as well as the tonks family. little nymphie was cute, oo.
this was incredibly well written and really amazing.
so much love for this story. I'm too tired from staying up to read this after I started it at 2am, and overwhelmed by the awesomeness to make a more coherent comment at this time.
I absolutely adore John, however, and the descriptions of Padfoot in the immediate aftermath of Halloween '81 was wonderful.
I've read this twice in less than twelve hours, and I am in awe.
I love the descriptions and the details that show how different the pups are from one time to the next, when seen through the eyes of John and Arthur.
I especially loved the bit about Padfoot's eyes looking not like a dog's, but like a soldier's--and damn it, I forget your exact phrasing, but it was wonderful--something about loyal and dangerous. It was perfect though.
And Arthur's thoughts about how Remus looks better than he had for years... Wonderful!
Very clever, very well thought out, and I can't say enough good stuff about it. I love a Remus who gets angry ("I'll pull your liver out through your nose."--hee hee!)--and I desperately want to read the scene where Remus gave Dumbledore hell!
The 'Lair' note was sheer brilliance. The way Remus and Sirius were able to get over the darkness and mistrust in their past and work toward a more hopeful future together was what I wish would have happened in the actual HP series. That scene where they finally meet in John's house... I don't think I breathed through it!
Love this story! Too bad I can't vote... *grumbles*
I can't say enough good things about this story.
This was fabulous! I loved the plot, and John was an absolute sweetheart -- I really enjoyed his interactions with Padfoot. :-D It's so lovely to see Remus and Sirius get an ending with both justice and happiness, so thanks for that. ♥

This was great! I really enjoyed the plot, and the backstory to John - who seemed a bit too good to be true until that point - and how it ends up with Kingsley and the Weasleys involved. The boys are just perfect, and it was lovely to see their relationship through multiple eyes.
This was fabulous! And a perfect example of what AU should be!
Brilliant. Really well written, and well thought out, and sorry for the capslock, but I LOVE IT SO SO MUCH.
First and foremost: the best Remus characterisation I've read in a very long time, possibly ever. He is strong and confident and a Marauder to the bone, and not afraid of showing his wolf side - not afraid of the wolf, in general. I'm usually more of a Sirius girl, but Sirius is easier to get right, Remus is quite elusive. As far as my vision of him goes, you managed to get him perfectly.
I really loved this line:
In that moment, though, he’d wanted nothing more than to have a camera, and capture that singular moment of family – Remus curling one arm protectively around Sirius’s lower back, the other reaching to brush Harry’s hair from his face; and, with a secret kind of smile, cradling them safely.
"But I like fighting for you."
This was just pure GUH.
I also liked your Dumbledore. The fact that he's so used to everyone thinking he knows better that he himself started believing in it, and the way he said: "You cannot change someone with blackness in their heart". It's all so... human.
The all-understanding tree-hugging Muggle John was really loveable as well.
And last but not least:
Some piece of Sirius wants grand words and grand gestures, and either of them, or both of them to drop to their knees and plead
This made me smile. Oh, Sirius.
In conclusion: dear mystery author, I want to know who you are so I can stalk you properly. :)
Brilliant fic. I've loved everything about it - the way you described Dumbledore, the poor Muggle being "stuck" with Padfoot... wonderful. :D
This was a really brilliant fic, one of the best I've read here. You created a very good OC, and all the events just seem so natural.
I love a story like this, where Remus doesn't just believe Sirius is guilty, where he is proved innocent, and they get to take care of Harry. It never got boring, it never felt OOC, it was never painful to read.
I think my favourite part is when Remus convinces Dumbledore to give them Harry, and to apologize. That man needs to be put in his place sometimes! XD
Love it! Love the twists and turns you've taken from a canon jumping off point. I adore your OC - he was so well-shaped that he really seemed like one of JK's characters. He fit beautifully in this world. I love Sirius and Remus' interactions - such sweet familarity and love. And I ADORE how Remus took Dumbledore aside at the end and cowed the great wizard. :) Fabulous job!
While there were a couple of elements that strained credulity for me, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. Of course, I adored the fact that Sirius managed to escape Azkaban and find himself a family in Privet Drive to take him in. Who wouldn't like John the muggle who talks to a dog? I got a huge laugh out of that. Especially the fight over "Blackie" sleeping on the couch vs. the dog bed.
My childhood dog also slept on the furniture but when you'd get up in the morning, he was on the floor. My mother would yell and carry on and he'd be looking at her like, "I don't know what you're talking about woman!" And her rants always ended with, "If I ever catch you on the furniture.......!" Oh, yeah, they say animals don't understand what you say!
The reunion of Remus and Padfoot was vivid and gripping, not to mention Sirius and Remus, reunion. And the showdown at the Burrow was phenomenal!
This is a feel good-fic no doubt about it! Great job.
Truly, honestly, one of the best fics I've read in a long time. I loved the different POVs, and the whole storyline was fantastic. Travelling Remus and Sirius were perfect. I'm hard-pressed to find something I didn't like here! You used all the characters really well. :D

Remarkable story. Very well written, very engaging and I think, in John, you've created one of the best original characters I've ever read - very vivid and very believable. Thanks for writing this.
This was wonderful! I love outsider POVs, and of course Raising Harry AUs. There are so many great elements--Lily's letter, Andromeda as an ally, Dumbledore apologising, Remus and Sirius travelling all over. Great job!
